Help
  • You will serve as the interface between contracting officers and ILS managers.
  • You will manage financial aspects of a defense acquisition program throughout the total acquisition life cycle.
  • You will interpret and apply Fiscal/Appropriation laws, policies, and directives; and advise acquisition decision makers on business and financial management of programs.
  • You will support military missions related to CIWS, Minor, Medium, and Major Caliber Gun Weapon Systems (GWSs).
  • You will will provide expertise on: contract strategies, task order development, contract modifications, deliverable tracking, and incremental funds tracking.
  • You will serve as the subject matter expert on matters that establish or modify existing policy.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

For the NT-05:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing contracting or contracting services of military weapon systems to provide oversight and support on contract development for various weapon systems.

For the NT-04:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-3 (GS-9/10 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and managing various aspects and required documentation of a defense acquisition program throughout the total acquisition life cycle to advise on business and financial management of programs for weapon systems.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus percentage of the required experience must equal one hundred percent.
